Chinese Almanac 2008
Posted on September 16, 2007 in the Chinese Wedding Traditions category
Good news, my fiancee has finally gotten hold of the chinese almanac for 2008. That means we are one step closer to finding our auspicious wedding date. So far Dave has got his relatives to decipher it and apparently there are 2 auspiscious dates that land on a tuesday in March but we both agree that it would be too cold so we are now looking at April. The only problem I have with that is the saying “april showers” so maybe there will more chance of rain. Thing is I don’t really want to delay the wedding till May so April will have to do.

March might be 1 or 2 degrees colder than April in terms of temparature but it’s certainly not wetter. The saying “April showers” exists because in England that is usually the wettest month.
lol. It’s usually been fine on my birthdays (mid-march).
So it really depends on which variable you find least appealing, wet or wind?
When put it like that leon, I’d rather be cold than wet. I would rather get married in March as I don’t like the 4th month, as you know the chinese number 4 does not sound good.
Yeah, obviously it’s not my wedding but IF I was planning a wedding I’d go for March. Plus.. long term, you will get good deals to celebrate your anniversaries with March hol deals whereas in April prices shoot up due to Easter, bank hol and school hols
LOL
Does anyone know if July is a good month?
Is Jan.5, 2008 a good date for a wedding? thanks for the answer..
