My Chinese Wedding 2008

I’m getting married in 2008! Help!

Purchases in April 2009

Posted on April 25, 2009 in the Fashion category

I don’t really want to admit this but I have been really bad this month. I think I need to stop spending so much on clothes and shoes, its going to be hard but I need to halve my shopping sprees. I do have a really bad habit of checking out Topshop, All Saints, ASOS, Miss Selfridge and Urban Outfitters websites everyday, just to see what’s new in. Then I plan which item’s I’m going to buy and if there’s any dicount voucher codes availiable online. This month, I used a discount voucher code for ASOS which expires at the end of April. The code is STYLE09 which will give you free delivery. The other discount code I used this month is for TOPSHOP, which will give you £5 off an order over £40. The code is TSFIRST15 but I’m not sure when the expiry date is.

Anyway back to my list of purchases for April. I picked up some really good bargains from Topshop as I was on the website at 10am and I got first pick at most items. I know where not at the end of April but I am really trying hard not to buy anything else for the rest of this month, which won’t be too hard as there are only 5 more days left.

Ok so I did spend quite alot in April which probably equals to £100 a week but I think I have enough clothes to last me through May so next month won’t be as bad. Plus I bought 3 dresses for 3 upcoming weddings so actually I did quite well. My next buy will be some nice gladiator style flat sandals as there are still in for this summer….

I’m loving the new website! I don’t live in the UK but thanks to your brill fashion advice, I’ve found the perfect dresses on ASOS for my bridesmaids for my impending beach wedding. Thanks!

    Hi C,

Thank you for your comment and congratulations on your upcoming wedding. A beach wedding sounds amazing. Where are u from? and where are u having your wedding? I’m glad my blog helped you out and at least I know I still get visitors.

    Hi Sally,

I’m in Hong Kong right now, though originally from (near) London. I’m getting married in Koh Samui in Thailand at the end of this month. I didn’t want to have a traditional Chinese wedding coz I’m simply too lazy to deal with all the preparation myself (I can’t expect any help from my man at all). I think it’s amazing how you painstakingly planned your entire wedding by yourself. I only managed to find your blog after you were married (was googling hotel reviews for Maldives and ended up here) but really enjoyed reading it anyway! I had wanted to go to the Maldives for my own honeymoon this june but was advised against it because of the unpredictable weather during this time. we (or I, rather) eventually settled on Cairns in Australia. Hopefully, we will be able to visit the Maldives next year instead.

Keep up the good work on your website! And can’t wait to see the new look!

    Hi C,

Your wedding isn’t too far away then. I can imagine how beautiful your wedding will turn out. We were also considering having a beach wedding but as my husband’s parents would have been unhappy about their only son going away to get married, we ditched that idea. Although we would love to renew our vows on the beach sometime in the future. Maldives is absolute bliss, I don’t think anywhere will beat it but I’m still searching. I would have thought Thailand would have been your honeymoon aswell seeing as you are getting married there but Cairns is a great choice. Best wishes on your upcoming wedding. I hope everthing goes to plan and I hope you both have a lovely honeymoon.

    Sally
