My Chinese Wedding 2008

I’m getting married in 2008! Help!

Chinese Wedding Photographers

Posted on October 19, 2007 in the General Wedding Plans category

I just did an online search for “chinese wedding photographers” and I could not find a single one. Why don’t any of them advertise online?? That means I will have to arrange one through my parents and their friends unless I get an english photographer which will be more expensive. My sister who got married a few weeks ago had a chinese/vietnamese couple from London to do her photo’s and wedding video so I think I’m going to wait and see how that turns out before I go looking for Chinese Wedding Photographers.

Does anyone know of any Chinese Wedding Photographers that are good?? Its abit disconcerting not to have any online galleries of their work as we don’t know what the quality is like.

I have been having the same problem…my aunt used one who was very cheap (£300 for 2 days!) but my aunt was not very impressed with her…

Have a look at these people

    http://www.creative-eye.me.uk/creative_eye_2006/index.htm

They specialise in chinese style weddings and I think one of the photograpghers is chinese - but they are more pricey though…I got quoted £1250 for one day (inclusive of about 10 hours 2 photgrapghers and prints)

I have not decieded myself on photograpghers so if you find a good one let us know

I used creative eye me and paid 2k for the whole day for two photographers because they had to come out of London.

They are really good and had a good with them becasue they spoke to everyone and got some really good shots. They took about 600-700 pics, and if you get friend recommendation u get a discount.

Can give you their contact details if you want, i have their direct email

I know of couples from England flying in photographers from Malaysia and they’re much cheaper. You may want to consider that. If you do, you may e-mail me at my e-mail address and I can give you some recommendations. The one I used for my wedding was good. You can view the photos on my website.

Chun, My friend who has commented below has used creative eye me and I think her pictures turned out great but the price is a little bit too high. My sister has paid around £1500 thats pictures and the video recording of everything. We do want our whole day to be recorded as watching it can be like you’re re-living your wedding day.

Johnny - I didn’t know you were setting up a photography company. wicked. so u and christian can come and use me as a test model for your camera’s LOL

Christine - OMG really? people are flying photographers in from malaysia thats abit far. I mean how much will you be actually saving? I have just checked your website. wow, the site is really good. so u have 3 websites? do u manage all of them? Wow compared to my site, your website is looking great. I have been trying to re-design this site but I haven’t got round to doing it yet, after seeing your site I will get a move on and change it soon.

sally, most people fly in photographers because they love the photography style. for instance, check out http://www.thephotoz.com. they also did the photography for my wedding day. as for my blogs, now, i only need to maintain one since the wedding is long over. and the website, hmm… i’ve been kinda lazy but will have to update once little one comes along. :)

if you’re considering hiring malaysian wedding photographers, i think you should have a look at http://www.catchlights.net
they did my family portrait and my brother’s graduation ceremony. and i’m most impressed with their work! good luck in your search and congrats!

Thanks for your comment lingzie, but what country are these photographers based in. The pictures look great and I hope I can find photographers like these in UK.

    Hi Sally,

Have you found a photographer yet?
My sister recently got married in the summer - she hired two photographers - one for the camera and one for videography. I’ve seen the video - it’s ok, if a little cheesey - not sure if all photographers are like that! They were willing to trek all the way from London to Leeds which was really good. I’m not sure how much they charged, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t sky high, but it was good that they were chinese - as they had to bustle all our relatives (some who only spoke chinese etc) to get in the pictures! It is very chaotic when you have to gather everyone together or specific groups~!
