Best time to go to The Maldives
Posted on July 6, 2007 in the Honeymoon/Holidays category
From all the websites that have researched about The Maldives for our honeymoon next year, I have found out that the best time to go is between January and April where it is the driest time. The monsoon season is from May to September. Outside the monsoon season, there is still rain but just not as often and not as long.
The hottest time to go is between February and April where temperatures hit 32 degrees centigrade. Maldives is right on the Equator which means the temperature stays pretty much the same all year round which varies from 25 to 32 degrees centigrade during the day and between 18 to 20 degrees at night.
This breathes a sigh of relief for me because I was starting to get worried about spending so much on Honeymoon when we don’t know if it’ll rain or shine. Reading up on the weather history of The Maldives has reassured me that we will be going at a good time of the year. Theres no definite guarantee that it won’t rain in March/April when we do go to The Maldives but since when can anyone predict the weather? Even weather reporters can’t get it right. Anyway if it does rain, there are other things me and my fiancee can do to pass the time…………….like a good game of chess LOL
