Someone elses wedding

I have a friends wedding to attend on Tuesday and I have already bought a whole new outfit just for the occasion. It leaves me thinking that even if you’re not getting married, just going to a wedding ends up costing you a fair bit. Lets break it down -
Dress £80
Shoes £20
Bag £15
Card £3
Lai See £30
Grand total = £98
I have another wedding to attend in July, still have to buy an outfit for that and I put my money on it that it will cost me more than £98. Well I shouldn’t really complain as much because when my wedding day comes along, I would like it if everyone made an effort so I can look back in the pictures and not cringe at anyone hahaha

i’ve learnt over the last few years that weddings = expense. weddings are expensive full stop, whether you are going to them or whether it is your own.
thats not to distract from the fact that weddings are also a whole lot of fun and if its your own wedding will probably be THE most important day of your life.
