My Chinese Wedding 2008

I’m getting married in 2008! Help!

Update on my quest to lose weight

Posted on June 25, 2007 in the The Wedding Look category

I think it has nearly been 2 months since I started my “wedding dress diet” and I think for the last month I have stayed the same weight. I still weigh about 7 stone and about 4lbs. I must admit last week I was very naughty because I baked a very nice strawberry cake and me and my fiancee finished off half of it between us. Ooops. I will now try and reduce the calories I consume so I’m going to aim for reducing my total daily food intake by a third. My fiancee has noticed that I have lost weight but I don’t think I have lost enough yet.

I need to make some changes to my diet so I will reduce my sugar intake, no chocolate or cakes for me and increase my fruit and veg intake. I will limit my cups of coffee to one a day and drink more water. My goal for next month is hopefully to weigh 7 stone exactly. Watch this space……….

Hi, why on earth do you need to lose weight? You already weigh nothing!

I am getting married next year too and I don’t plan on losing any weight and I’m about 9 stone and Chinese too! If I lose a lot of weight, I won’t have the right curves for the dress I’ve chosen! LOL!

Hi Amy, congratulations to you on your upcoming wedding. I know I’m not fat but I used to weigh about 6 stone 10lbs and now I weigh more. I don’t base my size from how I weigh but from the clothes I used to be able to fit in. The clothes that used to fit me perfectly are now abit tight on me thats why I want to lose weight just so I can fit into them. LOL

Well I used to weigh around what you do and I have to say I actually prefer my shape now as I can really fill a bra now! LOL!

Also, I have found that I could try on a lot more different shape gowns. The one I have got is a mermaid shape gown so you need curves to create that va-va-voom effect!

I’ve been to try on wedding dresses and because I’m a 6/8 all the dresses were too big because they only have dresses in size 12/14 in the bridal shops so it was harder to see if each dress would suit me or not. I chose 3 dresses which I really liked and they were all mermaid shaped, all from Maggie Sottero. Yea I do agree you need curves to wear mermaid shaped dresses but hopefully chicken fillets will help me out alot. LOL

No chicken fillets need if you just exercise and put on a bit of weight like I did but then I think I good some good “boob genes” LOL! I’m a 32C and my sis is a 34DD! Apparently we have a tiny bit of French blood in us along the way mixed up with our Cantonese genes!

Hey feel free to email me to swap wedding tips! X
