I thought I would write a post about how to apply for a visa for Vietnam as I have just recieved mine in the post today for our upcoming trip to Hong Kong and Vietnam. At first I was abit scared about applying for a Vietnam visa by myself as usually my parents sort out this kinda thing for me. They always enlist the travel agent that books their flights to Vietnam to do this job but as we booked our flights last minute, we decided to apply by ourselves.

Applying for a Vietnam Visa is fairly simple.

Step 1

Visit the Vietnam Embassy website click here and print off the application form

Step 2

Email the Vietnam Embassy to ask about the current Visa price - consular@vietnamembassy.org.uk

Step 3

Fill in the form and send your cheque (total to include the visa fee & postage fee as one payment) along with the form and your passport to

You should recieve your passport back with a Vietnam visa like in the pic below in 5 working days allowing 2 extra days for delivery

Easy really sin’t it? Oh and don’t bother trying to call the Vietnam Embassy as all you will hear is a super long voice message and then the call will just cut off. I’ve already tried it and no one ever picks up.
