My Chinese Wedding 2008

I’m getting married in 2008! Help!

The venue search

Posted on July 30, 2007 in the Wedding Venues category

I’m still searching………..

Ok so I think we can honestly say that areas between Worcester and Birmingham is what we’re looking for. Areas north of Birmingham city centre are a no go.

I have been going through all the sites on Worcester’s City Council website which lists the approved premises for Civil Wedding’s in Worcestershire and I really can’t find any that are in the selected area and that I like. I’m beginning to think that this search is impossible. I have sent Dave the link for these venues and have told him to take a look. There is also a website just like this one for Birmingham and I still can’t find a suitable venue.

I have a good tip for Brides to be in my situation. If you’re looking for a venue, a good way to find one and look and what the venue is like then do a search for some wedding photographers in your area. Go on to their website and they should have a gallery or a list of the venues that they have photographed for weddings. That way you get to see what the venue is really like.

Most venue’s that I have contacted have said that they only do exclusive hire, which means you have to hire the whole place and it would cost a few thousand pounds which we are not willing to pay. I’m now starting to wonder if we should widen our search, it just means doing everything earlier so we have enough time to get to the venue and the restaurant for the banquet after.

    Hi Sally,

I came across your website by accident. Nice job!!! I’m very impressed with what you have done. Also, congratulations to you and your fiance!

I just got engaged on Valentines Day and my uncle in australia gave us dates for 2008 based on both of our birthdays. He had talked to my mother and mentioned that this was a good year for me and not as good for my fiance and next year would be better.

So…. How can I be proactive and find out what the auspicious dates are for 2009???

    Look forward to your reply!
